Wayne is an urban farmer and local food activist in Columbus, Ohio, who writes on a variety of topics including resiliency, self-reliance, social justice, localization, and political issues. Before going into farming, Wayne worked as a police officer, security guard, handyman, landscaper, teaching assistant, fur trapper, woodcarver, conveyor mechanic, Wal-Mart drone, food service worker, and Army Reservist, among other things. Wayne is married to Mayda, an independent web designer (unlimitedmedia.com). They have two young children together, Noah and Amalie. Wayne also has two grown children from a previous marriage.
